Easy peasy form setup

So I needed a form for my little project site, nothing fancy, just a contact form. Heard about UseBasin and gave it a shot. Honestly, it was super easy. Just copied a bit of code into my HTML and boom, forms worked. The submissions landed right in my inbox and I could see them in their dashboard too. Didn't have to deal with any coding nonsense, which was a relief. Glad I found it, made things really simple for me.

Worked great, no code

Needed a form backend for a Gatsby site. UseBasin worked out of the box. No coding needed. Submissions came through. Good service.

Consistent performance, useful features

I've been using UseBasin for a while now across several projects. This latest purchase was for the multi-site management feature, which is incredibly useful for my agency work. The service has always been reliable; submissions never get lost, and the email notifications are consistent. I really like the CSV Export for data analysis. It just works, every time, and that's why I keep coming back instead of trying competitors like Formspree. It's a dependable tool in my workflow.

Good value for yearly plan

I was looking for a form backend that wouldn't break the bank, and UseBasin really delivered. I signed up for the annual plan for the discount, which made it much more affordable than paying monthly. The free tier was helpful for trying it out, but the paid plan with unlimited forms and extra features was definitely worth it. I'm using it for lead collection and the email notifications work perfectly. It felt like a solid investment for my small business.

Solid service, minor hiccup

I needed a reliable backend for a few static site forms, and UseBasin mostly hit the mark. The setup for my Hugo forms was straightforward, and the submission management dashboard is clean and easy to navigate. I appreciated the GDPR compliance features and the spam protection worked well; didn't get any junk submissions. My only small issue was with the initial Webhook Integration setup, which took a bit more fiddling than I expected, but I got it sorted. Overall, a good experience and it saved me a lot of server-side coding.

My annual renewal is coming up for Basin and the price looks a bit higher than I expected. Does Basin offer a non-profit discount? Or should I just wait for a Black Friday deal?

V VikramG 3 hours ago ✓ Best Answer
They definitely have a non-profit discount. I applied for it last year for our charity's website and got approved. Just contact their support with your non-profit registration details.

Oh, that's amazing! Thanks for the info, Vikram.

Yeah, their support team was pretty quick with it too.

Good to know. I'll check it out.

I paid annually and got a discount that way. Not sure if it's as good as a specific non-profit one though.

V VikramG 3 hours ago
The annual discount is built-in usually, but non-profit is extra.

S SoniaM 3 hours ago
Got it. Thanks!

Black Friday deals are usually pretty good if you can wait. I think I snagged 20% off yearly plans last time.

R Rahul87 2 hours ago
True, especially if it's a recurring thing.

M MeeraP 1 hour ago
That's tempting, but the non-profit discount might be better.

Anyone tried UseBasin's Webflow integration? Is it actually easy?

A ArjunP 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Super easy. Just point your form action to their URL. No code changes in Webflow itself really.

Can confirm, took me like 5 minutes.

I set it up on a client site. They haven't complained, so it must be good.

Lol, good sign.

Yeah, it's pretty much copy-paste. Works for AJAX forms too if you set it up right.

Honeypot usually catches most of it.

Does it handle spam well with Webflow forms?

I'm a student working on a portfolio site, any chance of a student discount for Basin?

B Beth 2 months ago
I think they do! I remember seeing something about it. Check their site, might be in the FAQs or a specific page.

J James Foster 2 months ago
Yes, they offer student discounts. You usually have to verify your student status, but it's a good way to save some cash.

Thinking of switching to UseBasin for my forms. How's their free plan?

P PriyaS 4 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
It's decent. You get 100 submissions a month and basic email notifications. No file uploads though on free.

A AnkitM 4 weeks ago
Yeah, I hit the limit fast on my side project.

100 is enough for a small site. Good to know about file uploads.

Finally switched my agency's forms over to UseBasin yesterday. Setup was pretty smooth, but wondering how others manage multiple client sites. Any tips for keeping things organized?

P PriyaS 3 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
Glad to hear it! We use the multi-site management feature extensively. Definitely set up separate forms for each client, and you can even group them by client project within Basin. Makes reporting way easier.

Does that work with different domains too, or just subdomains?
4
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Works great for different domains. Each form has its own endpoint.

D Deepak87 3 weeks ago
I just keep a spreadsheet mapping client site to the Basin form ID. A bit manual but works for our smaller agency.
8
R RaviK 3 weeks ago
That sounds like a lot of upkeep if you have many clients.
8
D Deepak87 3 weeks ago
It can be, but it's manageable for now.
4
S SnehaR 3 weeks ago
Team collaboration features are pretty key for us. Can invite clients directly to view their submissions without giving them full access.
8
R RaviK 3 weeks ago
Oh, didn't think about client access. That's a solid point.
2
S SnehaR 3 weeks ago
Yeah, saves a lot of back and forth emails.

Thinking about signing up for Basin, but also looking at Formspree. Anyone have experience with both and can say which is better?

C Cody 1 month ago
I used Formspree for a bit but switched to Basin. Basin felt a bit more robust for integrations and their spam protection seemed better out of the box.
3
R Rosa K. 1 month ago
Depends what you need. If it's super basic stuff, Formspree is fine. Basin definitely has more features, especially for bigger projects or if you need team access.

Hey, does Basin ever do big sales? Like around Black Friday or anything? Trying to decide if I should wait.

A Alex D. 2 months ago
Yeah, they usually have something around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. I snagged a good deal last year.
3
J James Q. 2 months ago
They often do seasonal promos, especially for annual plans. You might see 20-30% off, so waiting a bit could pay off.

Does Basin handle file uploads? I have a contact form where people need to attach PDFs.

R Ryan 1 month ago
Yep, it does. I use it for image uploads on one of my sites. Works pretty smoothly.
4
J James T. 1 month ago
It supports file uploads. Just make sure your plan has enough storage if you expect a lot of big files.
